I've been there. I know how hard it can be to walk through change. I live with a physical disability and have navigated many serious health conditions, a stroke aged 20, in hospital for 5 months, in a coma. Often written off, I say ‘no thanks’.

Hello I’m Satinder,

an NHS GP with over 30 years experience working mostly in rural north east England. 

In addition I am a Lifestyle Medicine Doctor, Lifestyle Menopause Practitioner and UKIHCA accredited coach & NLP Practitioner..

I have further training in sleep disordered breathing, Nature connectedness, chronic pain and acupuncture. I’ve held senior NHS clinical commissioning leadership roles and am Trustee of a National Charity. In 2018 I was awarded the Pride of Teesdale award Inspirational person, for setting up local charity serenitysth.org .


I'm a mother, wife, sailor, small holder and love life affirming crazy adventure. All this with over 40 years of disability, and despite many long term health conditions and life traumas.

Over the last 60 years our lifestyle has changed, our stress levels are chronically higher and we are seeing an explosion of serious health conditions. We may be living longer but on average we are spending a significant portion living with ill health: 20 years for women and 17 years for men. These days we all know someone, often sadly in their prime, with stroke, heart disease, cancer, neurodegenerative conditions, the list goes on.


The good news is 10% life expectancy is influenced by our genes which means 90% is influenced by how we live our lives, which is where I can help.

I will provide clear advice on how to prevent the onset of disease, and minimise or even reverse existing health conditions.

 

My Lifestyle Medicine training covers the 6 pillars of wellbeing and is 100% evidence based.



Many of us have a strong sense that we would benefit from doing things differently in our life, health or careers, yet struggle to implement sustainable change. My Transformational Coaching training is about belief in people’s potential to achieve more than they think possible, and belief that the right support can unlock progress where it’s most needed. We will move towards those outcomes and goals that matter most to you, whilst remaining aligned with your values and with who you really are. 

I’m also trained in the science behind Nature Connectedness and offer coaching outdoors. This for many clients provides a more intuitive way to communicate and opens new lines of thinking.
